I'm in the same spot with the machine. The space just not available. Relax isn't something I do well either. Have a glass of wine and that will help. Do you have a home machine with a larger harp? That makes a huge difference. If you have one person teaching you and you can't get it I would recommend taking some classes from other people. There are different techniques that might be a lot of help to you. I don't know but if you really are not able to free motion on a home machine could you do a decent job on a big machine? THe folks with the big machines would know that maybe. Women in the old days used to do what they called quilting on the halves (I think that is how you put it) One that liked to piece would piece 2 tops and the other that liked to quilt would quilt 2 tops and they each got one. Maybe you need a friend that knows how to quilt but doesn't like to piece? Just some ideas. TAria
