Well, after all the problems I have sorted out I don't know if I wanted any more...but..I am changing my server and I have a short while to find out how to get the Newsgroup on webmail. I have got a mobile network, with no mobile and it seems that I can get webmail, which I can cope with okay but don't know how to get this Newsgroup. I know I haven't done much this year but things are on the improve, if only my X-ray tomorrow doesn't tell me I have a broken bone in my foot. The year has been very social for me.You meet such nice people in the waiting rooms of doctors and specialists and my social circle has grown a great deal since I fell up the roof ladder last January. Maybe it's just the years catching up with me a little bit too. My children always say I killed the last dinosaur, so perhaps I shouldn't complain. The fact remains that I cannot get through too many days without this Group, I just have to read it, so if I can find out how to get it on the web I would be very grateful. I have nearly finished my king size quilt for my niece and I suppose being almost immobile for weeks on end has some advantages, but it is very awkward and heavy and I'll do my spine in next I guess. Love to all, Ruth Sydney

Receiving the newsgroup has become leaky here in the Swamp. Sometimes I get the beginning post, sometimes not. While you are helping Rita, you might as well suggest a better way for me. Anyone have a subscription they are reasonably happy with? Polly (and Rita, exactly how did you manage to fall

*up* a ladder? )

A nice reliable, reasonably priced news server is news.individual.net The dollar is down so it cost me 14 dollars for a whole year! To sign up just put news.individual.net in the address bar of your browser and it'll take you right to the page.

Thank you kindly. Sounds like something I can afford. (Even if our dollar is down.) I appreciate the recommendation. Honestly, in my limited technical understanding, 'Browser' is a nice name for a dog . . . well, actually, I think 'Bowser' is that word. When one of the grandchildren drops by, I'll ask them to look into changing for me. Polly

Polly, It is so easy to fall up a ladder. For anyway... The ladder goes up into the roof space where I have all my stash and a lot of other stuff. I climbed up to put the Christmas decorations away an as I stepped up into the roof I feel up the top two steps and got my leg stuck between them. Twisted my pelvis and wrecked my knee. I can now just about get up the stairway to Heaven and get at my stash, somehow Ian always manages to bring the wrong box down. poor lamb. Love your Joke ,Polly. Glad I didn't miss it. So very sorry, Ruth. Perhaps you'd better avoid ladders. The trick to someone bringing you the Right Box is as follows: Label them. Write Big. Put labels on the top (and the other top) and at least 2 sides. This is not a perfect solution but it helps. Was your foot x-ray okay? Sometimes it takes a 2nd x-ray made a week or so after an accident for a fracture to make itself known. Polly
