I did some quilting on a lap sized quilt on Saturday and spend yesterday ripping and trying to recreate some of my stolen computer files.

Sally, Your plans for the star blocks, and for your kitchen dilemma both sound terrific.

Yesterday I set and bordered a group of Attic Window Blocks. These are fussy cut scenic 'windows' depicting Colonial village scenes. I used a narrow coral sashing for the blocks and inner border, then a wide floral border. It's looking good! I also cut fabric for the Dotty Block Swap. AND, while DH drove, I spent long car ride sorting out my 5" squares.

Woo Hoo!! PAT

I've been working on my quilt. It is coming along well considering I have a cold. Between the sniffles and sneezing, I'm stitching and drinking my tea. If all goes well, I'll have the top pieced by this weekend. I just love the colors - purple, greens, periwinkle, red, gold and orange. There is nothing quiet about this quilt. Back to the sewing machine....

In addition to trying out a new newsreader (Mozilla Thunderbird) for RCTQ, I've been working on sorting my sewing room and thinking of sewing related goals (watch for separate post on this).

As one of the founders of the Umpeenth Annual RCTQ Quilting Week, I just wanted to remind everyone that participation is up to you. Whatever you want to do to commemorate this is fine! Reading about quilting (fact, fiction, or internet), talking about quilting, organizing, shopping, sewing, or even just snuggling under a quilt with some chocolate works!

One of the other founders of the UARCTQQW told me that the plastic boxes that hold frozen mini-eclairs or cream puffs make dandy storage boxes for 6.5" squares, so I had to empty another one of those... oh, the lengths we go to for our art! LOL Now I'm gathering up my Baseball Swap squares to fill them. I was reading a quilting magazine last night and there was a pattern for HSTs that called for 6.5" squares... hmm. I have a few of those....

Wendy (anybody else want an eclair? I could use another box.)
