Retreat question?

I like the "retreat" our local Parks and Rec dept. puts on every winter. We go from 6-9 at night Friday, 8AM-10PM on Sat. and 9AM-3PM on Sunday. Home to our own beds at night, but lots of sewing time. There's always a mystery quilt, plus a lot of other projects, and great meals. It's nice to meet old and new friends from town at this. Gen

Has your mom found the Quilting Cupboard? It's a relatively new shop. They carry lots of novelties and brights. But definitely not the place to go if you want '30's repros.

I love those kinds of memories. I bet you can remember what the candy dish looked like. My grandpa loved chocolate covered cherries...but he only had them at Christmas. With 11 grandkids, I doubt he got to eat many from his own box!

Chocolate-covered cherries were a Christmas treat in my family too.

Thanks Julia. I passed the info on to my mom. I'm not sure if she has been to the shop or not. She hasn't been up there quite as often lately. For a while there she was up a lot as that is where my granmother had her hip replacement done. I passed the shop info on too, so she can check it out next time she's up there if she wants.
