Sad news

I'm sooooooo sorry. You're going to have to get a new doggie for Xmas, so you won't be dog less. It's so hard to lose a four-legged family member. I'm very sad for you.

Oh Sandy, I'm so very sorry. Dear old Dexter was such a steady support to Tuppence and Bisou, and such a loving friend. Maybe he wouldn't have wanted you to see him like that? Perhaps it was just right for him that it was your DH who had to take care of him for the last little while - which, by the sound of it, wasn't too long. He was one of the good guys. . Sunny, that's just beautiful. I had a similar, strict upbringing which would never have entertained the major part of your lovely post. As someone once said 'If heaven hasn't got pets, I don't want to go'. . In message , Sunny writes

Oh Sandy I am so sorry to hear about Dexter. This breaks my heart, he was such sweet dog. I will certainly miss him as much as Tuppence on my visits to Las Vegas. Ya'll are in my prayers. It's hard to lose a much loved pet. I still miss my big lap kitty, Sarge, so much and it's been over a year that he's been gone and our wonderful chow, Pookie Bear who's been gone 8 years. At least Dexter has a full house to play with again.

Hugs, Mika

Sandy, I was at the pet store on Saturday with the girls. We were getting food for the wet pets (in between games and band contests and such) and wouldn't you know the cocker spaniel rescue group was out front. I thought of you immediately and wondered if you had made it to the show. One of the cockers was a beautiful girl, skinny as a rail, and she looked just like a miniature irish setter. A real beauty. I was tempted to bring her home, but they wanted her to go with her brother too.

I am so sorry about your loss. I appreciate how hard it is!

(((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))

wish I had had time to meet up with you this year.

Dexter was a special dog. It's never an easy decision to make, even when you know it's for the best.

Oh, dear, I am so sorry to learn of Sandy's loss. For some odd reason, Sandy's posts to RCTQ do NOT come through on my server. So, I have to send a second hand message of condolences. Hugs, PAT in VA/USA

Thanks, Kathy. You're one of the very few on RCTQ who actually met Dexter.

Thanks, Launie -- I'm sure he will. His tail rarely stopped its gentle to and fro.
