I realized while talking to Paulette that I haven't checked in here in forever so, thought I'd do that really quick.
Mom and I finished another DWR (this one for my best friend) and have one more (mine) to make, although now she is talking about making a scrappy one too. Oh, and Paulette...she did agree that one in Christmas colors would be pretty, but I don't think we're making one. :)
So, it is at the quilter's and is supposed to be ready by the 1st of April so I can take it with me to Dallas, where I will be for 12 days (who fell out of their chair because I'm actually going somewhere?), leaving here on the 5th. I'm really excited, but not sure what I'm going to have to do to fix the dog when I come home...almost 2 weeks of going outside to potty may be hard to get her back to being litter boxed trained (she gets "broken" over a weekend, I can only imagine what 12 days will do). Oh well, it's a chance I'll have to take.
Not much else going on here. Health is holding steady, weather has been about as odd as every where else (not much of a winter but maybe a 2 week cold snap, maybe a total of 8-10 inches of snow (not all at once), and lots of warm days.). Been going over to Mom's a lot. She got a new van last week, which basically means I'll never get to drive again (but that's a whole 'nuther story).
Anyway, who all lives in Dallas that might want to meet up? I will have a car at my disposal, but have already decided that I'm not getting on the freeway (did that once years ago...small town girl in a great big city where they go around me like I'm standing still, even though I was doing 80...not sure I can do that again), so would need clear cut directions and possibly not be going too far from where I'm staying (The Colony).
