T&P please...

.... for my Dad who had another stroke yesterday evening, and my Mum who had to call the ambulance etc etc etc. :-( He is currently in the stroke unit at the local hospital and lucid, though unable to balance and walk. I shall be visiting next weekend (5+ hour drive each way) both to see my Mum & Dad and to pick up our cats who had been staying with them while DH and I had been away on a business trip.

Thanks

Lizzy

Very sorry to hear this, Lizzy. Such a worry when these things become recurrent. I do hope you find things fairly well when you visit. Physio can achieve quite a lot, even in a week. Take care. . In message , Lizzy Taylor writes

Thoughts and prayers are on the way for your parents. Take care on the road ... always more of a challenge close to holidays. PAT

Thanks everybody for their good wishes - Dad is doing better, he has lost very little feeling/function and has had physio today. DB is currently with my Mum for a few days. We shall time our drive to be during "daylight" - there is just enough (7.5 hours between sunrise & sunset at the moment).

Mum and I were greatly cheered today by the news that my best friend from primary school has just got engaged at the age of 40+ - a wonderful surprise for her and her family & friends.
