Can you contact a chaplain at the hospital in Germany, voice your concerns, and ask them to verify his actual status and speak with the doctors and his CO? I wouldn't think that his CO would want him back on duty at less than

100%.

Keeping good thoughts for Tyler's health, and your patience.

What if we all write/e-mail, what Connie's son Tyler has been going through, to OUR own Congressmen/Seneteres?

I am so sorry to read about the latest with Tyler. This is not they way to treat our servicemen. What good is sending a wounded soldierback to Afghanistan if he can't fight? Big prayers for you and your son. I hope he heals quickly. Hugs, Linda

Connie, I can't think of a single thing to say to help, so I'm sending {{{Hugs}}}, along with my prayers that Tyler will keep safe.

i have written emails to both ND senators and to my own AR senators. Later today after DGD goes home I will contact the big news networks as well as my local newspapers. I am sending his picture with my emails because his face tells the story so much better than I can.

All the more reason to bring such barbaric practices out into the light of day. Hiding dirty little secrets under a rock does no one any good. Treating our troops with humanity should be a priority. I don't see how they can justify mistreating him as long as it isn't him or his mother who is "telling". In fact - if I was in charge of this young man - I'd make doubly sure no harm came to him while the light of the world is shining on him.

Wait, wait, wait, Snig, I wouldn't be doing ANY of that without Connie's go ahead. I feel the same way you do and I know we are all concerned, but her son did say for his mom not to cause waves.

Howdy! When we contacted our local U.S. Rep2 yrs ago, his office took immediate action. It did NOT involve any president. This Rep's office contacted the Marine base and just started asking questions. The situation was resolved later the same day. By today, Tyler is back in Afghanistan. If anyone ever wondered if they'd left the cuckoos in charge of this situation, that clears up that question. Meanwhile, the little coward is still on vacation down on his ranch, trimming trees and doing brodies in the pick-up truck. Go figure.

Snigs, I hope this doesn't backfire on Tyler, and on Connie. We don't know everything there is to know about this situation. We do know that the young man himself has asked that nothing be done, and he himself is not trying to fight it. That speaks volumes. He knows what he's doing. He's knows what shape he's in. He knows what it's like over there. He knows war, and he knows what his buddies need from him. He's earned the right to call the shots. Just a word of caution to the wise. Okay, back to quilting.

Naw Sandy, when it looked like Katrina just might have some effect on Texas, that yellow streak down his back flared up and he left Texas. He was in Albuquerque or somewhere in either New Mexico or Arizona. At least that is what CNN was saying last night.

Connie, you and Tyler continue to be in my prayers. I just hope someone comes to their senses and keeps him in a medical facility until he is fully recovered. It would be a liability to the Marines to send him back out in his condition.
