Tyler update, Friday am...

My prayers and best wishes go out to all who are involved in the flooding and devastation of Katrina. It is so massive I wonder where they start to help. Our little flood of '97 was nothing in comparison, but yet looking at the pictures, I remember the horrendous smell of it all, the brown slime the water leaves on everything, the itch wherever it touched your skin.

As for Tyler, he was finally flown back to Germany yesterday. They have decided that he needs surgery, and the plan is to fly him to the US for that, probably on Sunday. They are still undecided between Bethesda and Balboa, but we should learn that soon. His abscess, which they wrote off as superficial, the first time, is now definitely in his pleural space, and they are hoping to keep it out of his lungs. Your prayers and support have helped so much, I want to thank you all for your concern, and I will let you know more when I can.

Oh Connie,

How odd that being so seriously injured could also be a blessing too. We all continue to pray for his wellbeing, for all our troops, and for all devestated by Katrina.

What a worrying time for you. At least he will be 'home' soon. And the prayers are continuing, despite the floods... That's one of the best things about prayers - they never run out!

Oh, Connie, prayers are going to Tyler for a safe and painfree trip home and most importantly for a full recovery - stateside! {{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}

Prayers and good, healing thoughts continuing, Connie. Isn't it wonderful that prayer can spread out to cover your son and other military personnel, the victims of Katrina, fellow RCTQ members in distress, the sufferers in Darfour, and all the other unfortunates in the world! Here's hoping Tyler heals fast and can be spared long enough to visit his parents and family.
