Thanks for Concern

Thank you to all who sent good wishes, prayers and caring words. My FIL is fine. He has a smushed nose....very bad, a big gash on the side of his face and his ear is swollen and bloody. He is obviously struggling today to be in the same conversation with the rest of us. That may be the fact that he's not hearing well or it may be confusion from the shock of the fall.

My MIL said she heard him fall and rushed to his side. Before she could get there, my QI -- Jojo -- had reached him and was whimpering softly into FIL's ear and trying to lick his face. She said she had to push him aside a bit to reach my FIL and even then, Jojo stayed close, putting one paw on FIL's shoulder. She said she turned to call for help and saw that my dear old Angus had come to them and was lying full length against my FIIL's leg, the way he does with me when I'm ill. She said it was comforting. I think it's one more remarkable proof that our QI's are one step closer to the angels than we are.

I wish you all good health and peace at the end of the day, Sunny

So very glad, Sunny, that your FIL's fall was no worse than it seems to be. Naturally, we'll hope that his very own doctor checks him when he's back home to see if anything was going on to cause him to fall. Sweet talk your precious QIs for us; for sure they must have been mighty concerned. Polly

QIs are great, aren't they? I had a bad bout of something, probably Valley Fever, shortly after I moved to Tucson, and couldn't take time off as I was just starting a new job. Spent every evening and all weekend on the couch or in bed. and my two cats laid on the couch with me every moment for the month it lasted.. They were so comforting!

Glad your FIL's fall was no worse. I wish him a speedy recovery.
