Va.Pat! Re: New Member

Howdy!

YEEEE-HAW!!! Virginia's Pat is back in RCTQ Land!

Hey, Pat, what have you been doing? Where did you go? What did you get? How many quilts did you Finish while away from this time-gobbling ng?

Happy New Year!

R/Sandy--- no matter how many times I read it, I still snicker at the "chocolate vetting" message-- such a selfless character, our Va.Pat! (well, the "character" part is right )

Here I am, finally able to access the group again, and one of the first > messages I read has to do with welcoming another Pat! How cool. Thanks for the big Texas Welcome, Sandy! As a matter of fact, while away from NG, I spent nearly a week in San Antonio, TX. DH and I were delighted with the River Walk all decked out for Christmas. We visited friends in the Kerrville too. The wife is a quilting buddy. In fact, I taught her to quilt, back in the day. My hostess gift was a packet of fat quarters in her favorite colors. So she and I had a show and tell, and I got to admire a stack of quilts she's made over the last few years. Then we went to the lovely LQS there. Oh my!

Quilting? I finished the Pink Ribbon Quilt. (More in another post.) I also made a small quilt for the guild's monthly 'opportunity' drawing. This little Father Christmas quilt yielded about $100 for the guild, earmarked for Programs.

I enjoyed Christmas; my lovely family added EQ6, the accompanying book, chocolate, and a quilter's calendar to my sewing supplies. ;)

Happy New Year! PAT
