WAHOO, keep fingers crossed

Stopped by the auto shop tonight on the way to karate.....car is NOT still in the lot behind the shop, and it wasn't where we saw it last night (I have been making a habit of driving by since we have to pass the shop, just to see if there is any progress). Walked up to see if we could see it in any of the work bays, and saw these nice gentlemen walking out with trash. SO...I asked one of them about the blue dodge grand caravan...turns out that the man I asked was the one who did the body work on the van!!!!

He said that he finished the body work on her today and that they had moved the van into the painting bay. He also told me that there is a short somewhere because the only way the car starts is if you push down on the fusebox area and turn the key. SO...He thinks they are waiting to get the fuse installed and the paint done, and my van will be finished!!!!! Yippee!!! If it is all done by the 29th, I won't have to get another rental car!!! THAT is outstanding news because we just paid for the one we had been using - $1751 and change!!!!!! The insurance company only picked up $900 of the rental...still...that was probably about 1/5 the cost of the car I was driving!!!

So, keep fingers crossed, pray, light candles, talk to the house, whatever you need to do, but just ask that the car is finished before the end of the year and that we have the $500 that we need to pay (our deductible).

Thanks for letting me ramble,

Larisa, who REALLY wants her van back

Well, the blue beast is sitting in my driveway again, complete with my new Tink floor mats and holographic sticker!! It is going to take some adjusting since the rental car and Ken's car are both MUCH lower to the ground.

So thank you all for your thoughts, prayers, incantations, and body part crossing!!

Larisa
