Wanna trade?

Self-delusion is one of my better traits , and in a wild fit of such I bought Carol Doak's "50 Fabulous Paper-Pieced Stars." It's a fabulous book with incredible instructions, including an instructional CD in the back. But it's not me. Anybody want to trade? I could use something on McTavishing. Or .... whatever that isn't paper piecing and doesn't involve lots of lines meeting in the middle, even if they are paper pieced. I'm open to new fits of self-delusion and I want to trade.

Ooooh I have that book - and one or two others. I just adore it and have made several of the stars out of it. I'm one of those people that just want it done (but don't necessarily want to do it! LOL) so I use it for eye candy. One day I'll do stuff. I swear, one day!

Both of those lines are positively grand. Thanks for the laugh. More importantly, thanks for reminding me why I haven't bought the book.

I've tried paper piecing, and decided I don't enjoy it--mostly because I just plain can't make a block that way to save my hide. It requires thinking in 4 or 5 dimensions and I only see in 2-D. Debra in VA See my quilts at

Ok, self-delusion has been passed to one more worthy than I. Carry on.

Think of it not as self-delusion, but as an adventure into something new that you found to be less than inspiring and therefore not to be repeated.

Then look for a new adventure.
