What's your plan for today?

Happy Friday the 13th - what do you have planned for today? I'm going to wish my nephew a happy birthday (he turns 13 on Friday the 13th - I wonder if that has any special meaning!), and then I'm going to cut pieces to take with me to a sewing day tomorrow. A group of up to 15 ladies get together at a local restaurant (the owner is a quilter) to spend the day stitching, and they've invited me to join them. And then, if I still have time, I'll work on quilting a "Homeward Bound" quilt for the guild. More about that later.

I've been away for a few days, staying with my sewing partner.

Things I Need To Do:

  1. Unpack the suitcase 2. Put away the fabric purchases 3. Hang up the Pirate Gown and chemise dress... 4. Make a menu and a shopping list for the next week... 5. Get the living room, hall, stairs, and landing hoovered

Sewing stuff I NEED to do in the next day or so:

  1. Complete Natalie I's alteration 2. Press the sleeves of Hilary's jacket 3. Cut and assemble the flounce for D's dress and the wrap from the damson linen... 4. Assemble Peter's breeches.

Sewing stuff I want to do because it's fun!

  1. Complete the chemise/gown 2. Cut and start assembling the mock Tudor kirtle 3. Cut and start assembling a Tudor style shift to go under it...

I think it's possibly time to start investigating that new 48 hour day...

Our grandtwins were born on Friday the 13th of May and it is a grand happy day for us. And Yes to Kate; for sure you're going to have to look into the

48-hr day. All I'm planning for today is to put everything back where it belongs and clean the floors. That should do it. Polly

I'm hoping to work on bedroom curtains or piece throw pillow covers.

I have usually been more modest in my desires, 36 hours would probably do for me.

I gone all fluish, so as soon as I quit throwing up I have to:

Spend some time in the kitchen garden, I am way behind on the work there. I also have to get some of my ornamentals tended.

Work on a Wench's outfit.

Finish some lace for an 18th century gentleman.

Do the math for a new quilt for Ash. I have in mind a log cabin diamond star. Hence math headaches will be forthcoming.

Find some time to finish the final details on _my_ shirt that is taking forever because I have been working on other stuff.

Huh, maybe 48 hours isn't such a bad idea...

DD & I have been out looking at Wedding Dresses with my DMIL. A great girly day out and now DD has some ideas as to which styles flatter her and which don't. Next we will be looking at the pattern books again to see what is going to be possible.

April 2012 is the plan. I'll need a few 48 hour days myself between now and then, for sure.

I actually have the day off (and all of next week) and have two doctor appts. today. First is just for a blood draw - checking thyroid. This afternoon is a nerve conduction study for my hands...gotta figure out what all this hand pain is (and hoping it is somthing treatable like carpal tunnel) as it's interferring with my quilting :)

DH will be out all evening so I'll have the entire house to myself, and will be working on three different quilts! One of which has the honor of being the first quilt being done on my new-to-me frame.

i am looking forward to a very lovely eveing :)
