Polly said when quilter's take over the world things are going to be a lot different. So let's dream a little.

When quilters take over the world I will never have to change my rotary blade, it will always cut like a knife through soft butter.

and all the school ciricullum (sp?) will be based around quilting. reading, writing, maths, social interaction, art, music, science, hand/eye coordination (for the little ones). the world should be busy 'creating' quilts not 'destroying' the world in any more damn wars. j.

It'll be Arctic winter all year round so everybody will need lots more quilts and the nights will be much longer to work on them?

When quilters take over the world, the arc on every SM will adjust from stingy to any width at all as easily as pulling the lever on a reclining chair. Bobbins will be filled by tossing a spool of thread in the general direction of the bobbin case; and every child will be hugged by a quilt that says, "Somebody loves me." Polly

Every person in the world will sleep in a bed filled with soft, warm and beautiful quilts and everyone will sleep knowing that they are safe and surrounded by love.

And I'll have patience.

When quilters take over the world you'll be able to walk into the shops that sell home furnishing fabrics and say "I'm not interested in yardage

- how much for the book of samples?"

The obvious wish: All fabric stores will carry nice quilting cottons and other supplies at an affordable price, and every neighborhood will have a fabric store. Roberta in D

Every town, city, village, hamlet will have a quilt shop with 10,000 bolts of fabric ! Quilts will be automatically machine quilted as you sew the blocks together. There will be no tops / flimsies floating around awaiting finishing.

We will always be able to find "exactly the right fabric combinations" without getting frustrated or spending too much money! We will be granted "extension days" whenever we want so that we can have time to sew and finish projects, and still get all the other "life" stuff done.

When quilters take over the world you'll never buy 'almost- not quite enough- and now it's all sold out' fabric. You'll always buy just enough and if you change your mind there'll be plenty more at a nice price! And every fabric purchase will include ten yards of complimentary batiks- in your choice of colors, of course! And complimentary matching cotton thread, too, while I'm at it..... ;-)
