when quilters take over the world

we do get some breaks here. sweden doesn't have this 'dependents deduction' thingy. actually, nor do they have a schedule A equivalent. and the first thing after my bank reporting interest is a transaction that takes 25% of the interest and sends it to skattverket! and if took out the rest of the interest and went shopping for a non-food item, i'd pay 25% tax on that! [although what i could buy with my interest is very very miniscule, like maybe 6 liters (1,5 gallons) gasoline at $2 US per liter (last week, more now)

the same tax applies for fabric also :-(

If quilters took over the world, there would be one guilt-free day just for quilting per week--no worrying about the dishes, the cooking, whether or not I have time to make it to the quilt store and free to spend hours there if I want to.

And I would learn to enjoy machine quilting and not fret about it.

There will be a buyer for every quilt, fabric prices will be $1 a yard and we'll all be retired so we can spend endless hours sewing and quilting. :-)

We could eat as much chocolate as we want without putting on weight... :-)

I love this idea of Quiltday!

And there will be NO more arthritic fingers or joints to prevent or slow down quilting so that more quilts can be made.

But a guilt free weekday, right? Sure the weekends are for quilting, but I'd sure like to have like a Wednesday too. When the rest of the world is at work.

--basting safety pins will breed and make more little safety pins

--someone will invent a never-running-out bobbin

--the SM will refuse to sew if you have a piece turned the wrong way or something bunched up underneath

--no dye will EVER run

--quilt fabric will repell cat hair

Oh yes, it definitely has to be a guilt free weekday! I think Wednesday would work out perfectly. :-)

I love these ideas Monique--especially the never run out bobbin. They always do that at the worst times!

I've got another one to add. The temperature will always be conducive to quilting at the time I want to quilt--not too hot.
