I decided to alter a small cigar box. With my promotion came allot of unexpected worries. I worry about allot of the people we make medical runs on and I find myself laying awake at night wondering how they are doing, did we do everything we could have on those that didn't make it. ( we can't find out any information due to the new privacy laws) I also find myself second guessing myself on the structure fire runs. So I made a worry box. I took the beautiful altered book that April made for me and used it for inspiration. Since most of my worries are from work it is, of course, firefighter in design. I painted the inside red, place an ambulance sticker, a firefighter sticker and 2 small dice. The outside is decopodged with firefighter papers, 3-d embellishments, gold UTEE here and there. On the inside lid is the title of the box (what else but "Worry Box") and what I hope to achieve from writing down my worries and placing them in the box. April thank you so much for the altered book, it was a wonderful source of inspiration. I decided to do this box about 8:30 tongiht and completed it at 11:30pm. I think it turned out pretty good. Though since it's well past my bedtime I may just be delusional! (especially since we were up all night and I've been up since 5 am yesterday morning!) LOL I'll post pictures tomorrow on my webshot account.

Oh those KitKats were great - but they were only limited edition here in SA. There was an orange flavour also at a time....hmmm...I'm feeling the stirrings of a craving coming on.....lol!

Kenda, let me first congratulate you on the promotion! WTG!

Your worry box looks great! I really hope it will help you get over all those worries and lets you have a well deserved sleep at night. Remember, too look after others well, you first have to look after yourself :)

Thank you Judy, I was relieved to get the promotion, the competition this time was intense.

I am starting to sleep better, so I think the box is helping. And you are right, I need to look after myself so I can look after others. I think sometimes we all forget that.
