I can not directly answer your question, but for Heaven's sake (maybe YOURS!?) i would geta toaster oven at a yard sale and use it. that way if it does blow up, you catch it on fire or whatever, you can throw it out the door and dh will not be as unhappy if you broke the STOVE!!
I know how he loves the stove, whether or not you or he is using it - LOL!!
