AUGUST CHALLENGE

Sounds easy, but I think for some of us it will be harder than we think!

Fit as MANY pictures as you can onto one page (should be more than 5). We all have those events where we have a million pictures and only pick out a few to scrap - this is your opportunity to use more of them! Good luck! (And don't forget the journaling!)

Does it count that I already did it? In this anniversary book I am doing, I limited myself to a 2pg spread of each parent "before marriage"......so that includes from birth through immigration up to marriage. I think I have 9 on a 8.5x11 (1/2 a double layout...the other side's not done yet).

That should be easy for me. I am a pro at fitting tons of pictures on one page. Does it count if I do it all of the time. Ha Ha! I know that I have gotten 13 on one page and 10 on the other for one layout before.

I have also done this before - yahoo the first challenge I have actually done!!! I used my CM square punch and punched pictures of my DS from toddlerhood and baby hood and did a layout using 49 pictures!!!! But it worked really well and lots of people have commented on it!!

I did the same style for my DD using 28 pictures and leaving a gap in the centre for a title and journaling.

Wow! I bow down to the queen of tons of pictures! Hmmm, using that square punch is a great idea, I could kind of do it like a collage/mosaic. I think I will have to do this! Thanks for the idea Jane!

You're welcome - it is a gret way to use up all those endless pictures we take when our children are toddlers and babies - all those pictures that aren't particularly good enough for a full layout etc but you can't bring yourself to throw away!!

Great idea, Jane ! I will have to do this.

If any of you want to have a look at the layouts I mentioned they are in my webshots album. One is under the Laurence album and is called Snapshots of Laurie page and the other is in the Susie album called Snapshot of Susie :)

I love love love love those pages Jane. I usually fit a lot of pictures on my layouts but I'm going to have to try that with my CM square punch.

Another tip, the CM square punch will fit in a square on their calendar pages. So you can add little pictures to your calendar.

I did use my CM square punch on a calendar page from when I went to Hawaii to document what we did on what day of our trip. Great tip Lynette!

That's really neat. I might have to borrow your idea for some of those pictures I just don't know what to do with. Thanks for sharing.

Those are so cool! I love the page full of your little boy - I could see that page scanned and then lightened by about 50% and then printed as a background paper! Thanks for sharing and when I have more time I'm going to check out all the layouts you posted!

Thank you to everyone for your comments on my layouts - I am glad my page using the square punch was useful to everyone :)
