Cricut

Has anyone seen a live demonstration yet? I saw the video and it looks like it is going to be around $249 with the cartridges around $70. I am hoping that my sister buys one as well so we can share cartridges. The only thing is ........I am hesitant about preordering because I don't want to wake up one day and think I should have put the money towards a wishblade.

I read this morning that Michaels is for sale. I hope they will get it in and I can see it before it is sold.

My understanding is that Michaels will start selling them in either April or May. I have no idea what the price will be.

I just visited the website and it sounds really cool, but a bit limiting since it's not computer driven. After watching the video though it looks like a great thing if you have the money.

I'd like to see the Cricut in operation, Also the Xyron electronic diecutter to compare them. I just wonder what the overall cost would be, cutting blades, etc. to operate one of these.

WEll, the website said it was I believe $299 for the machine and one cartridge. Each cartridge is about $90 and there are 12 cartridges right now. So, that would be $1379 for everything. Don't know how much replacement blades would be. I also found it interesting that it's pronounced "cricket" like the insect. Chirp chirp.

The stores that are taking preorders are selling them for $249 and the cartridges for $70. My sister wants one and so does my girlfriend so we can share the cartridges. If Michaels carries the cartridges and lets you use a

40% off coupon it won't be all that expensive.
