A framed photo fell off the wall at my parents' house, and the glass cracked all the way across. When mom went to take the photo out and put it in another frame, she realized that half of it was stuck firmly to the glass of the frame. We live in a very humid climate, so it was probably 30 years of exposure to normal humidity that did it.
It's an early 1970's color enlargement from a professional photo studio portrait, and has a kind of matte texture to it.
She really hasn't wanted to touch it, fearing she'd ruin it, and the clerk at the photo developing lab they use didn't have any advice except to take it back to that studio (which is still in business) and maybe they can scan it and somehow restore the image.
She just wants to know if the photo can be removed safely from the frame first. Would un-do help?
Thanks, Tracy
