FRUSTRATED!!!

Have Sabrina check and see if she accidently put you in her blocked address. Are you getting anything back, if so what is the error message?

That could be caused by a packet server being overloaded or trouble on the line. Also maybe her email box is full.

Barb, I did receive three emails from you yesterday :) Our service provider (telkom) is doing upgrades on our mail severs this weekend, so maybe that was the problem :)

No, I haven't blocked anybody! Katrina and I both use a webtv....I don't know if that is the problem or not....but I miss Barb's e-mails !!

Awww Ronnie you are cute!! I think a computer and me would be a disaster! LOL Somethng about teaching an old dog to do new tricks comes to mind. We just aren't as adept as we usta be.

I have been having trouble geting emails too. They get sent back with the message that my mailbox is full when it doesn't show full on my end. computer would be nice! Lin

Sabrina, we had to do A LOT of convincing to get my Mom her first PC. Many a day I had a teary phone call when she was convinced she "broke the puter"!!! LOL Nowadays she's the expert and I have to ask HER how to do stuff!!

Sabrina and Judy... same thing happened at my mom's house. She had wanted a computer for years, but my dad didn't want to get involved. So, my brother just bought her one. He made several trips up to her to "fix" it, which really just equated to teaching her how to use it. Now she has no problems and is an expert on the Mac. I've never owned a Mac and have to call her in frequently to show ME how to use it.

Have you checked other boxes assciated with you mail box? Like the junk mail, trash, someone that you have blocked, or even files that you are saving. If any of them are full they or taking up too much space, they may be the source of the problem. Try backing off some of those saved files to your hard drive or to a CD. When you know you have a good copy, delete the file. Some times it a space issue. If this does not help you may have a corrupte file. I would then contact the ISP and they should be able to tell you what files to delete and download again. I know that contacting them is a Royal Pain, but sometiemes you have to just bite the bullet.

I am a bit leery of computers,I hear everyone talk about spy ware and all those horrible viruses that can damage and disable a computer and I know I am not adept enough to fix these things and I don't have a computer expert to help me out. Now all of my kids and grandkids have computers and even my 9 year old GD has a neat laptop that she seems to be able to zip right through,so I have this fear of failure thing going on .LOL So far my family is fairly impressed with me...I think they would get too much fun out of seeing me bamboozled by a machine! LMAO

With webtv it can be quite cantankerous at times. AOL does not get along, rarely!! If someone sends files with mpeg and wavs attached, it will fill the mailbox if you only have a few things in it - aaarrgghh!!

I don't know why mine would unless it got full. I was disconnected for a week and couldn't get to my messages. I did just send something to Sabrina and it bounced back. I've got a real 'puter on the way so my addy'll be changing. Hopefully you can get thru then.

Hey Ronni, what about me? Actually, I've had my fill of webtv. My new dell will be arriving via UPS on Thursday. I can't wait! I just have to move everything over from this unit to that one and change all my addresses for yahoo groups, classmates, ebay etc. My biggest worry is finding rcs once I'm switched over. It comes w/ outlook thouh and I know that's how mosteverybody reads the ng.

Kenda, You're right, Dave has a dell. He told me once he just doesn't use it for the ng and maybe other similar things. I really don't want the hassle either. Especially from what I hear from everyone here about all their 'puter problems. I'm just fed up w/ webtv. MSN owns them and they tell me they don't have one single local dial up # for the entire metro KC. I find that mighty hard to believe. I pay earthlink for my dial up and still pay a small monthly fee to stinking MSN. That's what I'm sick and tired of. I'll just transfer my earthlink to the new 'puter and see how it works out.
