Going to Tampa on the weekend

We're going to the Necronomicon science fiction convention... I'm getting excited about it - this is the first vacation we've had in a year and the first convention I've been to in about five years, and DH's first ever... I hope we both like it!

Right now I'm trying to decide whether to take anything scrappy to occupy my 'free' time, but I think I probably won't have any! We're getting there at lunchtime on Friday and bugging out at lunchtime on Sunday to go visit John's sister in Orlando, then we'll be coming home on Monday.

MC, don't you live in Tampa? Are you free this weekend? Would you like to get together for dinner on Friday or Saturday night? Let me know... :)

Could you send me an email with your phone number M-C? I don't have the contact list. Friday night (the 27th) will work the best because the organised events then aren't really things I'm into - I avoid cocktail parties like the plague! The convention's at the Hyatt Regency downtown... you'll have to tell us where you want to go eat, because we've never been to Tampa before.
