I revised a layout to make it look better and thought you all would like to see it.

What's going on ... on the page with the writing? You got my creative juices flowing thinking about what the pieces could be saying. Like having the family each write their favorite memory of the Grandma or each square a fact about the Grandma. Or if she's still around have her write her own favorite memories or recite them to write down.
Now you've given me ideas Lynn and Kate. I have pages done for my grandmother and great-grandmother - I'm going to add a quilt block LO for the second page for each LO with memories written on the solid color blocks. That's what I love about this group..... Sandy
I really like that LO Kate! The embossed hearts are a nice touch.
HI Guys,
So how my posting didn't show up. Here is the journalling from the quilt part of the LO:

I actually wrote down everyone's fond memory of my Grandma on the "scraps"
It was just an idea I had because I had so much extra scrap paper.
Here is what is journalled on the individual panels:

Enjoy, Love, Kate
It was a great idea. As Sandy said it looks like a quilt your Grandma would have made and then on closer inspection it has all the wonderful journaling. Great idea!
Great layout!! Thanks for sharing.
Looks great Kate. I love the quilt idea with all the thoughts about her.
The quilting squares are a cool idea Kate.
Oh that's special Kate! I love it. Thank you for sharing
