Looking for 2" posts

I finally am able to expand an album and would like it to be as large as the binding will allow. Unfortunately the dinky posts that came with it don't cut the mustard. So...I remember seeing Deb's tribute album to her parents and it was HUGE. There has got to be a better way out there, I looked online but I must be looking in the wrong places. Is this something I can find at Lowes? DH seems to think so. Please advise, I am lost. Jacqui

Jacqui...I think Deb used the Pioneer SnapLoad system album for her parents tribute album. You can buy SnapLoad Retro Fit Kits and convert your current albums. I bought them of Ebay and have done all of mine.....they are superb and so easy to do. You can also buy longer screw fixing posts from a hardware store. They are used to join two cabinets together. I have a couple of packs of them here and they are around 2" long.

Marilyn's right. I used the Pioneer SnapLoad system on my parent's album. I was very pleased with it! MC provided the set I used, but I think she purchased hers through QVC. I don't think I've seen them at any LSS, HL, or Michaels. Apparently someone wants to keep them all to themselves! LOL

I have found the Pioneer SnapLoad packs at JoAnne's here, though they don't have them all the time. Must be popular. They run about $6 a set when they have them. With a coupon, they're a lot cheaper than online.

Hobby Lobby sells those retro-fit kits now for 4.99, the same price MC got and sold US the ones she had for. they are the same company.

I have converted several albums to them. If you or dh are mechicanally inclined what I did years ago, i went and got a piece of rod, had it threaded (used a tap and die) just a few threads on the end sand put then hex nuts on it. Worked great and the "OLD TIMEY" scrapbook I had made from construction paper was about 10" thick.

HTH and BTW HIYA Jacqui, Logan, tanner and Pete too!!!

I even sent some to Judy in SA to try out! Don't know if she got around to fitting them but I find them much easier to use than posts.
