Memories Expo -- Columbus, OH July 17-19

I'm looking for more information on this expo. The website makes it sound like it is more directed toward LSS owners, but I'm not sure. I've never been to a conference or expo, but this is so close to me I'm thinking of asking the family to let me work it into our schedule.

Anyone from RCS planning to go?

I had seen information on the internet about this event in Illinois, but I couldn't go to that one OR the one in Ohio!:-( The travel time for me would be worth it, from the sounds of all the vendors that will be there. It sure sounds like it is something for scrappers like usto go and drool at....lol... and if you are close to it, you HAVE to go! The vendors will probably have all the latest ideas and supplies! You will have to tell us all about it! Linda C Illinois

Hi Amy,

I haven't been to a Memories Expo because it doesn't get to close to me. A friend went and although it was geared to LSS there was an open crop to use all the new goodies and some vendors even took orders right there.

Let us know what you thought. If it is worth it maybe I'll just travel to New Jersey when it goes to the convention center.

Hugs, Kate

Amy,

I've gone to the Memories Expo in Orlando and that was great. It often is worthwhile to buy your tickets up front and often when you also book a class you get to get in early. I know that is generally true of the "Scrapbook Expos" not sure if it applied to the Memoreis one. Also it's been my experience tha tthe earlier you can go the better with the exception of the night before they open to the general public. Remember usually these are not the manufacturers themselves that show up, but rather local and not so local stores. So inventory is limited and the really good stuff wll sell early. The reason I say that going the night before if you are a retailer isn't always good is that often the vendors haven;t finished setting up and of course the last things they set up is their stock.

So no it isn't really directed at LSS owners except as vendors. It's open to the general public and anyone can take the classes. Well at least that's the way it was in FL last I went!

Perhaps someone else in here will have more to share.
