Michaels and the Cricut

I just got this e-mail from another scrapbook group I post to:

"Hey ladies...thought I'd give you the 411 I found out about the cricut at Michaels from my Michaels informant who is the sales manager at a store in -------. She said that Michaels stores should have the cricuts in stock now....some of them may not have them on display as all stores are supposed to have Cricut demos on Saturday May 6th (NSD). She said the stores have all been told they can go ahead and put out the display and that if someone asks they are allowed to sell the machine NOW! There has been a rumor that you will not be allowed to use coupon on this machine....but I am happy to say to those of you wanting to purchase the machne that its just a rumor....Michaels "WILL" be honoring coupons on these machines when they are not already on sale. The info I got was that there is no coupon this week and the there will be a coupon next week....but they will be running the machine on sale for 279.99. The regular retail price will be 299.99. Anyway...that is the 411 I got on the machine for any of you interested in purchasing the machine. Thought i'd pass it along!"

Does anyone know much about the cricut? A friend of mine just purchased the Xyron and another one just bought the Pazzle. I have not had time to do much research on it yet. Sandy

Remember, Michaels accepts competitors coupons for items not already on sale.

Thanks for the head's up, I picked it up at lunch.

My Michaels accepted the 40% off ACMoore coupon (they also take Joanns coupons).

total savings $120.00, I am seeing some more font cartridges in my future.

I have been waiting for this! I have a 40% off coupon from JoAnn so I will go tomorrow and see if they let me use the coupon. I have seen it online for $249 so I won't buy it t Michael's if they don't accept the coupon.

Hello Sandy,

This video uses QuickTime player. If you get a big blue Q instead of a video screen on the right of the text, you can install the QuickTime player by clicking on the "Get QuickTime" button. I have had to do this to get the video to play.

Thanks, Klara. I thought I already had QuickTime on my computer, but I guess not. I finally got to see the video. I was going to start saving my money for the next meet, but I got to have one of these first. Sandy
