My Current LO Method

I'm working mainly from digital images for this scrapbook. Here is my method.

  1. organize the images, tweaking as needed - this seems to be the most time consuming thing. I just love that red eye corrector!

  1. print and cut the images in desired sizes

  2. LO the images. I keep 2 sheets of plain white paper to lay out the images as they are cut. From the images I decide what background to use then print it off or use paper I already have.

  1. If I'm doing a computerized title, I design that then print it onto the paper.

  2. Do the journaling. Most of mine is done on the computer but there is handwritten dates or names under some pictures. I print the journaling off then play with how I want it on the page.

  1. embellishment - Now I lay out any embellishments I want to use.

NOTE: everything is layed out *before* attaching to the actual page. Then I attach each photo/element in order being careful not to disturb the others. In this way, I can do a two page layout in about 30 minutes but only if the photos are organized.

Sounds like you've got it down to an art form!

Good for you - I am far less organized than that! Maybe that's why I don't do as many layouts. :)

Wow that sounds organized! My method is basically like this:

Decide on the pictures I want to use, get matching paper and cardstock and put them together so that they can "get to know each other" for a day or so. In that time, I start to think about what I want to do with the LO and what I want to say in the journaling and hopefuly that weekend I can put it all together. Some times I still have to drop by my LSS to get something that's needed for the LO - embelishments etc. My goal is to do 1 LO per week and so far I've done that this year!

Sounds like a great way to do them.
