Hi my name is Susan and I go by Scrapsue. I just fond newsgroups and this group. I love to scrapbook and have been for about 7 years. What I'm confused about are the posts that call people strange names and they don't look like they are talking about scrapbboking? Could any one explaine that part of the group to me. Other wise I look forward to reading and posting the scrapbook posts. Scrapsue

If you mean the racist childish posts that mean nothing but a waste of time, we tend to ignore the posts. Kind of hard but we do manage to bore that idiot to death with our posts.
Since this is an "open" forum there is nothing we can do but ignore the posts as our Leader M-C suggested. (sorry M-C but ScrapSue did ask).

If you read the newsgroup through Outlook Express, you can block those posts. Don't think you can do it from google though.
Welcome to the group Sue. We have a great time her at rcs. There are lots of fun, friendly, talented people here.
The strange posts are people that troll all the newsgroups and post things just to get people excited or mad. We just ignore them and continue our scrapbooking talk and they eventually fade away.

Hey! Don't worry about what all just came through. We know you didn't send it - anyone who checks the properties of the e-mail can tell that. You just have to block the sender and go on. Since I joined I've learned lots of new ideas and been able to share a few of my own. I love looking at everyone elses LO's and getting ideas. Oh and Sue, This moron thinks it is fun to "mimic" the real posters and "steal" real people's internet identity and post racist things. I've noticed this MORON hasn't wasted any time STEALING your posting identity.
Since you are a newbee and we know who is who we can pretty much determine those aren't from you.
You can report this abuse to Google but as a few of us have learned it doesn't help but to vent our frustrations. We went 3 days without any postings from this racist sexist moron. I guess he lost his dictionary for a time.
Anyhow, welcome to the group. You will find we are a bunch of GROWN UPS who use their time constructively and share a mutual love of creating scrapbooks and the like.
Share your wares but setting up a free account for jpgs at either ivillage.com or webshots.com so we can see your creativity and maybe "scrap-lift" some ideas from you as well.
