Newbie ~ Question on Postbound Pages

Hi All, This is my first post here (I've been an occasional lurker!) so apologies in advance for any faux pas in this post!

I'm working on my first scrapbook album -- our vacation last summer! We're taking a small family trip next month, so I'd like to get LAST YEAR's album done before I have another "event" that requires a scrapbook. :-)

So far so good, BUT... I'm having a bit of trouble with my album pages (postbound - inexpensive ones, either Westrim or Pioneer): The pages tend to slide out the top *very* easily when my kids (preschoolers) look at the album. Is there something I can do to prevent this from happening? Maybe some kind of clip or something I can attach to the top of the pages? I've looked online (creativexpress.com, joann.com, etc.) but can't find anything.

Thanks in advance for any advice you guys might have..... Barbara

Welcome to RCS Barbara! I'm sure you'll find your answer here. Could the paper itself be a just a bit smaller than the protector? If that's the case, you might try layering your page to a piece of cardstock that's just a bit bigger. Hopefully someone else will have a better idea! :-)

Are you speaking of the Pioneer clips to replace posts? If you are, you need four and they won't stop the paper from falling out of the top. It's late so maybe I'm thinking of something different!

Hi Barbara. I was going to also suggest what Deb did, and make the cardstock "just" fit in the protector so it wont slide out, but so it wont "warp" either, and you shouldnt have any trouble keeping them in. Or maybe you could use a decorative clip at the top if you wanted to? Hope this helps! Linda C Illinois

Thanks all for the suggestions. I'm going to try the extra-piece-of-cardstock idea. I have some on hand so (boo hoo?) I won't have to run to Michael's to buy anything. :-)

(hopefully this won't post twice - got an Outlook error the first time)

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. I'm going to try the extra-piece-of-cardstock idea - I have lots of cardstock on hand, so (boo hoo?) I won't have to make a run to Michaels.

Hi Barbara and so glad you delurked! It's much more fun for the rest of us, LOL when you speak as well as read, hahaha!

At any rate the idea about the cardstock is the best. and it should work just fine! Let us know how you make out!
