Newest Layouts

Welll I haven't done any layouts for 2006 yet, but I do have some new ones from 2005. My grandmother turned 90 right after Christmas and I put together a book for her. I wrote to all her friends and family and asked them to share pictures, memories and birthday wishes. She loved it, she couldn't stop telling me how much she enjoyed reading all the messages and looking at the pictures. It is in Grandma's 90th Birthday folder.

Now to start some pages for 2006!

Wow Cathy that album is really special. That got me to thinking my Grandmother will be 90 next year. That would be a really nice present for her.

What a wonderful gift Cathy. And so much better that she enjoys it! I really like the colors you chose, very lively and perfect for a birthday. :-)

Hey Cathy, what an amazing gift, she must have been very moved by the thought and effort that went into it. TFS

Beautiful album Cathy! I bet she was really moved by everyone sharing and reminiscing about who is in the photos. What a great gift....lovingly made :o)

Beautiful tribute to a special lady. As I looked through your album it brought back memories of my own Grandmother. Her 83rd birthday party was the very first photos I scrapped when I got started scrapbooking. I just got it out and looked.....my how my style has changed. Sandy

That's really beautiful. My sister and I did a book for my dad's 60th last year, it was so much fun to put together, and even more joy to see the look on dads face when we presented it to him at his surprise party. It's priceless, and such a lovely thoughtful gift. Thanks for sharing :) luv Cec...xxx

Cathy, you did a beautiful job on the album! I love the way your pages are always so well put together and balanced. The old b&w photos you used are just gorgeous and the colours you picked compliment them beautifully and does not compete - if you know what I mean :) I'm glad your Grandmothers like her gift :)

Great layouts Cathy! Thanks for sharing! What a wonderful album!

Thanks Lynne. It was a lot of fun to do and she was really touched that everyone sent things for the book.

She was. The first time she read it, she cried. Then she sat down and went through everything again.

Thanks Sandy. I'm glad it brought back special memories for you too.

Thanks Cec. I enjoyed putting it together. It was fun to see what everyone sent and read their memories. I ended up finding out some things about her that I didn't know and found what is now my favorite picture of my mom and grandfather.

Thanks Linda. The tree tag was a left over from last Christmas. I used it as tags on gifts. I really enjoy using old photos.

Thanks Judy I was really pleased with the way it turned out. I think black and white photos are fun to scrap, you can do almost anything with them.
