For those of you that have been around for a while and know we were adopting, it happened! Well, after a long process of getting a homestudy together and DCF classes we finally got our son Austin (11y/o). We are so very happy to have him, he is a delight. Of course, we are in the honeymoon phase and I know there'll be bumps in the road ahead but we will work it all out. Hilda

WOW that is way too kool! Congratulations on the adoption. It take a wonderful person to open up their hearts and homes and turn a little stranger into a beloved son. Please tell him from me, that I think that both he and his parents are very lucky and special!

Congratulations! Parenthood is such a blessing! My son is adopted as well! We are working on the next placement, but the gov't has so many rules, we might have to wait a little while longer...

congrats. We so want to adopt but with me having had cancer, we have been turned down 5 times for home study's already. Unless we get a windfall or something, we are going to be childless I guess. I'm so glad you made it through all the governmental junk. That alone deserves a medal!
