thanks Tabitha. I feel very very lucky to be here. Its not part of our normal life..lol..so this is temporary like being on vacation. Except I still have to CLEAN! booooo..i'm just trying to enjoy it while i can. The area is so nice though I won't be too upset to move inland in the spring.

thanks Deb. It is a big change for me. Its something I always wanted to do. We had such a bad year this year my husband thought this would be good for us as a family to enjoy something like this. I'll always be grateful to him to doing this for me.

I know I love it so much. I walk on the beach nearly everday. Its 69 degrees here today. Its like living out part of a wish that I never thought i'd ever be able to afford to do. Even though its temporary.. its great. I'll always have this memory.

I am so glad that you have this wonderful oasis at this time. Looks like you had plenty of space to choose from to set up your scrapbooking area!

there is this huge wood bar that separates the kitchen and living room..on one side I have the computer you can see..and the other side is my scrapping stuff..stored under the bar and on a shelf next to it. My books are in a book case in my room. But I have that huge counter to work off of and its really great. I can leave it out too if I need to. We eat here sometimes but there is also a dining table to the right in the kitchen so there plenty of room for ME and my hobby..lol

That sounds great Michelle. I am so glad that you have this haven at this time in your life. Have you sampled any of the restaurants in Savannah? I think they had some of the best I've encountered. They have a Greek restaurant on the Riverfront that has the best Moussaka! My mouth is watering at the very memory!

watering at the

Spanikopita for me, please!

:::pouting::: I miss the nice little hole in the wall, family-owned Greek restaurant on Hollywood Blvd that I used to go to in the early 90s. Celebrated several birthdays there. YUM! Hadn't been for about 6 months when 2 friends & I decided to meet there for dinner. One guy rode with me & the other drove his car. Parking was always a challenge in that area, but the owners let us park in their few spaces in the alley. Wasn't paying attention as I drove by it on Hollywood Blvd. Made my usual turn at the next corner & pulled into the alley. Looked up & it was gone. No, not just replaced by something else . . . the whole building was gone! :::sob:::

If they reopened in the area, it wasn't under the same name. I miss my restaurant!

no restaurants at this point! I started the Atkins diet about 6 weeks ago and I refuse to cheat. I've lost 19 pounds and 19 inches so far so I'm doing good with it. I can't be tempted by a great restaurant just yet..lol..but one day I'll let you know what we try out. My husband said there were a lot of great places in Savannah to check out.

6 weeks and 19 pounds. That is amazing! What is your typical eating day like? For example, what did you eat yesterday?
