My dad is in his late 60's and remembers a molasses type chew in a yellow wrapper with a red money on it.... any ideas to the name. He said it was in the late 40's early 50's.

The only thing that came to mind was Mary Janes but they're peanut butter I think. Here's a photo:

I'm afraid I'm not old enough to help much since I was born in the 70's. Alida

Check this site. maybe the name will jog his memory. The only one I could think of with a dollar on them was the Black Licorice Dollars and that isn't a molasses type chew.

I can't help you with this one (red money OR red monkey!)...too young since I was born in the 70's. Hope you find the answer!

You sure it wasn't a red squirrel?

Is this it?

Wow, who knew Charms Pops were from the 50s (or before?). Loved them in the 70s! (And hadn't thought of them in years.)

Zotz. Anyone remember those?

OK, time to quit procrastinating (& salivating -- LOL) & get some work done.

Thanks for the stroll down candy memory lane!

Alicia

Scout lady you took the words right outta my mouth! Thats what I was thinking also! I was born in 1960 but I remember squirrels and you can still get them if you look around...lol it's funny how things come back to ya

Oh I love the milkshake kit kats! They really do taste like a shake. I found them first at dollar tree. Funny thing is, I don't care for regular kit kats.
