OT: DMC floss??

I was thinking about using the DMC floss on the layout but I am not for sure. Is it safe to use the DMC floss on the layout?? What about the regular ric-rac ribbons?? I have an old school picture of me wearing the red dress with red ric-rack that my grandmother made for me. I remember my grandmother took me out to let me pick out the fabrics for dresses and I picked out the red one because I thought it was so pretty that time (I was like 6 1/2 or 7 yrs old that time). She had made so many clothes for me. Just curious about the DMC floss & the ric-rac ribbons? Thanks! Marcie

I've used DMC floss on my pages, I was told that fabric should be safe if it is prone to run.

I don't see why you can't, but then again I'm not a purist when it comes to acid-free. I do make sure that anything questionable is not touching my photos. HTH
