I remember an episode of the Cosby Show that just cracked me up. The Dad was mad at the son and said, "I brought you into this world and I can take you out." I take a deep breath and chuckle at that when I'm ready to bounce my child off every wall in the house.
That is great!!! Congratulate him for me! I'm glad that the angst of the spring and summer is over and that they gave him the go ahead to join. An MP! That certainly is an interesting choice! I'm happy for you that he is settling down some!
Congratulate him for me! Glad to see everything's working out and that he's still alive. LOL Sounds like he's getting himself straightened out and ready for the real world, though.
LOL I've told him that many times! Though I think these last few months may have made a believer out of him, expecisally when I've said it barely above a whisper. lol
I will Deb. he's still alive, but barely! LOL He is trying to work extra hours at work since he can only work another few weeks. I hope he finds a job locally so he can get his wheels back.
Oh Kenda, I hope you and your family are feeling better and "back to normal" by now. Just glad your DS or the other kid did not get hurt in the accident and that your folks was there to support you. I think it's a good thing that you let him pay for the damages. A big part of growing up, is taking responsibility.
It seems this has been a week for accidents. DH and myself were in a four car bumper to bumper accident on Monday morning on our way to work. Fortunately no one was hurt and not too much damage to our car, because the traffic was really going slow at the time.
It sounds like your getting pressure from all sides. Your hubby needs to remember when he was a teenager although that is easier said then done. Hope things get better for you soon! Oh when you find that island can i come along? lol
H> What a weekend!! Friday we were without power for 3 hours that I know of
You are so right Michelle! I really hadn't thought about it like that, the pressure from all sides, that's a really good way to put it as that's what it feels like. The problem is DH does remember what he was like as a teen driver, HORRIBLE!! I think that is why he is so hard on DS. Things will eventually ease up, it will just take a while.
And yes part of growing up is taking responsiblity. And I think the "sweat equity" will go a long way. He wants to paint it as well since the truck will be undriven for a few months after the repair work. Things seem "normal" what ever that is! LOL
