It must be that time. I've been trying to call this friend of mine in Canada for a week now at a decent time and not on the weekend which she gets to enjoy with her DH and kids. On top of having to go to the chiro 3 times a week since both my hands are still going numb all the time, and the pain wakes me up 4-5 times at night, last week we had to get ready for and go through TS Alberto. Thursday we had very bad thunderstorms better not to be on the phone when the house and windows are shaking. Friday I had errands to run, I'm still not unpacked, and I had found a young helper to move the boxes since I'm not allowed to lift anything heavy. Well I walk out the door and my left front tire is completely flat. So now I have to get AAA to come since obviously I'm not allowed to change a tire. Of course the tire got a hole in the side somehow so it can't be repaired. So OK, I'll call my friend on Monday, right? Wrong, I go to the chiro, pick up my little helper and then when she leaves hop in the car to go have lunch. My intent is to drop off some prescriptions and then go home and make that call. Do I get to call... of course not! When I get back into the car it won't start. OK, I have jumper cables so all I need is a good samaritan. But of course despite 2 samaritans the car just won't start. So I get to call AAA again and wait 90 minutes..again. Thankfully they have some fancy machine that supercharges and the car starts, but the guy tells me the battery is dead, finished, finito, caput! OK, well it shouldn't take that long to change a battery, so I should still get home before supper and make that call. The tow truck guy follows me to the same garage that changed my tire. They pull the car in right away but surprise... they just don't have the battery there for my car, so we have to wait 1 hour for the parts store to bring it in. Needless to say it is past 5 when I got home and I was way behind with everything.
Two things, I'm going to try again tomorrow late afternoon to call my friend as I've got to drive somewhere tomorrow and second, I parked with the front of my car towards the street.. don't they say that all things come in threes???
Yup, looks like I could use a little luck, LOL. Thanks for letting me vent a little! ;)
