OT: Post-op appointment

Well I don't have to wear the brace on my left hand anymore, but I wasn't healed enough to have the stitches taken out. I hope to be back on track with the website stuff tomorrow. I've got a meetup tomorrow night, so that should be fun!

Did I mention that I got my Cricut deliveries today? I was so surprised, I must have been in a fog lately cause I wasn't even expecting it! If you're interested in getting one, feel free to email me!

So glad you are healing nicely!!! I hope your pain levels have gotten better! When will the stitches come out? Will you have the other hand done?

Have a great time at your meetup!!! Big HUGS

Glad to hear you're on the mend! I'm sure the meet up was a success and you all had tons of fun. When do the stiches come out and when do you have surgery on the right hand?

Thanks for asking, Deb and Kenda.

The stitches we hope will come out next Wednesday. The other hand I hope to have done right after Thanksgiving if the first hand is strong enough and if things calm down a little. My GP called at 5 PM today to say that my mammogram was abnormal and I've got to go back and have a diagnostic mamo done. Probably nothing to worry about, but jeeze, can you guys put in a good word with the Guy up there and let Him know I need a break from seeing different doctors? I've had so many appointments that I ended up going to wrong Orthopedic clinic two weeks ago. Went to Tampa Bay ortho, who are going to do the knee, instead of to Brandon Ortho, where the hand specialist is. Thank goodness they were only a mile or so from each other. Then two days after the surgery, I had a "wound check" appointment. The hand specialist, better known as Dr Eye Candy, has offices in two different cities, one north of me and one south of me. Ended up at the wrong office for my wound check appointment. Poor Rick was driving and we get to the locked down, dark office and I say to him: "Well I know he does his office here on Wednesday!" To which Rick replies, that may well be, but today is Thursday! Duh! Lost one day in the post-op fog, LOL!

Oh well of this will pass as well! As for the Meet-up it was a quiet one. I almost cancelled it yesterday but then thought heck there are 4 RSVPs and they might not get to their email in time. I knew tonight was a bad night for my "regulars". Only one person of the four people who RSVPd made it and she was new. It's always a little weird to open the door and say so who are you so and so or so and so? But I at least had fun! I hope she did too. I felt so bad that I sent her home with a whole bunch of goodies, LOL. I am expecting a big turn out on the 6th and I've got a TLC Workshop next Thursday. Between the two there is Rick's 11 interviews in DC.

Big hugs, M-C

If it's not one thing, it's another, isn't it? Good grief! Hopefully the mammo will come back fine...remember the shadow on my lung x-ray? Now if we can just find a way to keep all your appointments straight! :-) I should think after all this, you won't need to see a doctor for a while.

Oh my M-C... seems like surgery doesn't seem to slow you down! Glad to hear things are going as expected with the hand.

I'm sure the one new gal at the meetup had a great time. Who wouldn't want a one on one evening with M-C.... crafting none the less!

it does make me more loopy though. Anything I put away last week is seemingly out of site and worse..out of mind! Wonder where my QK book from the scrapbook store is now hidden, LOL!

Wouldn't mind a one on one crafting session with you either, LOL!

I am so glad you are doing better! I was worried and thinking of you. I am sorry I didn't call you last week. DH's assignment in Tampa was cancelled so we did not get to go down there. Hopefully there will be a next time and soon! My MIL is coming out here in December, we may go when she is out here, maybe I can break away to have a visit with you. We have home improvement projects this weekend. I have homework too. I will be so relieved when they are completed. Jacqui

I must be fooling the lot of you, cause I sure feel like I'm on slow-mo and not getting half of what I want to do done! There are so many scrapping and knitting projects I want to get to and never seem to get to and the snail mail list and website are just itching to get done. I did get help offers but since the two are intertwined, it was difficult to share the work. Today I dropped Rick at School then went shopping at 2 LSS. OK.. a little too much shopping... but well you know... I did bring some of my own scrapping stuff and did a little scrapping at my favorite scrapbook store for about 90 minutes before picking Rick up again. Oh and I went shopping at Macy's for some tops. Then Rick and I went out for supper and then to a benefit concert given by a French classical pianist. He was just amazing!

Dave would be proud of me I bought quite a bit of paper, mostly the DaisyD Christmas line that just came out. Of course I had to have the matching big tags and well you know... I also managed to find some of the Reminisce State tags I was missing, but I'll have to find the ones that I'm still missing on the internet somewhere!

There is a new company... well new to me anyhow called Imaginisce that has these beautiful embellishments called Aladdin's Charms. I bought the square and circle Antique silver from their Exotic East Collection. Here is square one:

Something else new I just had to get: The new DCWV Chipboard Sticker Stack. I got the Far East collection. It has 5 sheets and they say over 75 pieces. Here is a link to those:

I also picked up some of the Basic Gray Magnetic Buckles. They are a great way to close a hand made album. There is more, but I don't want to bore you guys any more than I already have, LOL!

Good for you MC! I'm glad you made some MC time for you and went LSS shopping. You got some really cool things! I may just have to see about the magnetic buckles. They might work for these two sister albums I'm still working on. I miss scrapping adn shopping with you!!!!

You are in my thoughts too. Considering the sutures are still in, my hand is doing remarkably well. Can't say there is no pain, but even right after the surgery it wasn't that bad. From time to time there is a weird twinge and you can just feel that it is yet another stretch of nerve coming back to life, But more important than the pain is the fact that there seems to be normal blood flow and I'd say about 97% of the feeling is back in the fingers already.

Poor you, you have been through the ringer! I sure hope that everything goes smoothly for you too from now on! It took me nearly 3 months to get the first mammogram appointment and I have to wait till the 6th to get back in there to find out what comes next. Life is way too short to spend it waiting for the next doctor's appointment! M-C

I sure hope you are better at least PHYSICALLY - LOL!

Poor Rick, he is now running around ragged too?!

Did you say 11 as in ELEVEN interviews? Boy is he going to be stressed I bet!

You know you will be in my thoughts and prayers and know that the Lord does answer prayers as we have seen so much right here in group.

You take care of yourself and stay out of trouble - I know whatever that is!!

((GREAT BIG HUG!!))
