didn't we say...

wasn't there some mention of a meetup at the quilting and sewing outlet store near Southcenter. I think it was suggested and several requested to delay until after easter.

Anyway, I went there to day, it's not easy to find as the sign is low down, but I spotted it the 2nd time past. They don't have a massive selection, but what they have seems good quality at low prices, the particularly had a good selection of white/cream tone on tone, marbled fabrics across huge colour range and quite a few one colour florals which I was quite taken with. They had small selections of batiks and asian prints, but in both ranges, everything was gorgeous!

I bought fabric for Jessamy's mystery, I originally found red with text on it that was all abbreviations from knitting patterns, and orange, where it was text messaging abbreviations, but I couldn't find something similar in yellow, so I went for the marbled fabrics, I love the shades I chose, really firey, which was just what I wanted, but being a knitter, I couldn't leave the knitting fabric behind, so I got a yard of that. They were also selling bundles of white fat quarters, knowing how difficult I find it to choose lights, I bought some, they also had cream unbundled.

It was an enjoyable trip, I'll definitely go back there, I have a couple of projects in mind that the marbled fabrics may form a part of and those batiks are tempting too. Unfortunately right at the end, my son managed to bite his tongue, so we had screams.

Hi Anne Isn't the outlet great? I really like it too, and the owner is such a nice lady.

I think her fabric selection changes quite often, so if you see something you like, nab it.

I sent out emails to everyone for a meet up, and only had 2 reponses, so we'll wait until TerriLee gets back from her much needed vacation, and try again. I think that would be fun.

I live in Seattle in the Southcenter area and I don't know what outlet you're talking about but would love to know where it is. Can you give me the address? I'd greatly appreciate it. I use a lot of marbled fabrics for my pictorial quilts and would love a local source.

Thanks, Christie, Quilted Faces Seattle

that's the one, it's 1205 Andover Park West, if you turn off 180th, it's almost immediately on the left, the sign is low down on the stairs to the door and has cars in front of it!
