OT: Prayers please

How sad for their family, and for you and everyone else who loved him. :*(

So many prayers going up for all of you for healing and peace of mind.

So sorry to hear this...his family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers!

I've just been sad about this myself. The thought that she couldn't take her baby going before her. The heart break she was feeling ... ahhh man us mom's can all understand. My thoughts and prayers have been with you all and will continue to be.

It has been an incredibly long week. Yesterday we said our goodbyes to Captain Bevans. Everyone from the fire department was there. A number of surrounding cities sent crews to fill in so the guys on duty could attend. It was terribly hard to say good bye. I think on Wednesday it finally hit me. I was out getting some errands done and I had to pull over several times as I was crying so hard I couldn't see. I was unable to sit next to DH as the service as he was playing his bagpipes and was seated in a different area. My captain set next to me and helped me get through it. My former driver (the one that I don't get along with) sat on the other side of me and held my hand at times.

To top everything else off I have a really bad case of bronchitis. I had to take off work today, actually I was sent to the wellness clinic and then sent home. I've slept most of the day, cried some of it, and held DH who is just now feeling the loss of Captain Bevans. Those that wanted to were allowed off to attend the service of Captain Bevans's Mother today. I was told to go home and rest or have phenomena, so I stopped by the church and spoke to the family on my way home.

Tomorrow will be better. Thank you to all for your prayers, We have truly felt your strength.

Oh Kenda, My heart goes out to you and all of your brothers and sisters in the fire department. So sorry for your loss. It is just so hard to say good bye to those we love.
