OT: very SAD and CONCERNED

I am so sad. I was supposed to be going to see Olivia Newton John (whom I love) in concert in Seattle tomorrow night. Of course I was also planning a detour through the LSS in Belingham which is now my favorite.

I just thought that I would quickly check the net for directions before I went to bed, and I have just discovered that the concert has been postponed and re-scheduled for next month.

Olivia has flown home to Australia to be with her mother who is sick. I hope that she is OK.

I am worried for her and her familly and truly disappointed that I will not be going tomorrow as I have been looking forward to it for months. I have arranged 2 days off work and overnight care for DD with her DG. I do not know what will happen because DG is not available next month and I do not know if I will be able to get anymore time off work as we are so very busy these days. It was actually quite a challenge to arrange the 2 days that I did take off.

Oh well, I had to share with someone(s). Thank you to all who have read this and are listening. Now that I have vented, expressed my concern and disappointment, I will go to bed.

maybe you can get a refund for your tickets if your not able to go next month... I know its depressing but its okay.. you can see her some other time...

Thank you. The tickets were VERY expensive and I am sure that if do get a refund, I will be able to turn the returned cash into ALOT of SB'ing supplies. We will see. I still may be able to work something out. I hope . . .

Anyways, I am now off to enjoy my day off from work.

Was very down last night, but I am now looking on the brighter side.

Hi Esther,

That is disappointing. I know a lot of people kind of diss Olivia, but she has such a great voice. My friend and I watched her in an independent film called "Sordid Lives" and she was great :-)

I haven"t seen Sordid Lives yet. It never came out in theatres here. I think I should look for it on video maybe

Thank you Susan, it turns out that is what will happen. I went in on the Thursday so that someone else who was on a wait list could take the day off, and now I have the monday off for the concert at the end of this month. It worked out ok too, because it will be just after my birthday. Should be fun . . .
