Past 10 days or so -

Well with little to no work this summer I had to find or do something. I got my own craft room, well maybe I should say all my crafting stuff in one room LOL! I also renovated the kitchen wall and the awful floor in there that I have hated since I bought this home some 15 years ago. I went and got some more of that great wood like flooring and put it in there too. What a difference and I am sooooo happy!

The worst part was getting the gumption to empty out the 2 over full china cabinets and moving them. Then CLEANING (aaaahhhhh) all that stuff, and trying to put it back in a eye pleasing, less cluttered (ha ha ah!!) look. Well I managed. I now have a chicken house exclusively and the other one, well it is ful still! LOL! But ya'll know what, like i found with crafting stuff, I had so many chickens EVERYWHERE brrruuuckk, cockadiddle doo!!! LOL!

So after getting the kitchen back together I realized I needed some updtaed pictures of inventory for replacement purposes, etc. So I went thru the house and well started on that project too, getting digital pictures instead of old polaroid ones. Geesh where does ONE person get so much STUFF?!

Anyhow I am done remodeling for this year and if you want I updated my webshots in me and home or scarpping stuff. I also started back to work, more or less last week full time YIPPEE!!! My budget is broke and pockets empty and I need a good shopping fix LOL!! (hey I have a couple empty slots in my paper racks!)

I even now have scrapped a bunch of pages in my new space!! They say organizing is a good motivator and it did work! Actually I think it is ahving everything in one spot!

Thanks fo looking and listening to me ramble -

(hugs!)

OH MY GOODNESS Dave emptying those China cabinets looked like a big job. You have a great collection of chickens. Saw a cow or 2 thrown in to make April feel at home when she comes to visit.

We have just done a major job around here too. I feel your pain. First we spent a day cleaning the garage, so we'd have a spot to put stuff from the house. Then we moved almost every stick of furniture off the carpet, so we could have it cleaned, stretched and repaired. The house looked so great with minimal furniture I hated to move any back. haha Anyhow once the furniture was out I could see what a crappy job the painters did 2 years ago and began touching up the paint. Then had a wall I wanted to change colors. Then son decided to paint his room, so who got rooked into helping... yes me. I thought today I'd be so sore I could barely move, but I'm doing pretty good. Today I'll be hanging drapes and bringing in more furniture. Little by little my house is looking good too. I need to do a tile job. I'd like to do it myself, but I'll have to do research as I've never done tile. And seeing as it's my foyer I want it to look good.

If you have a Home Depot around you they have clinics on tiling every Sunday. They let you try the tools and teach you all about surface prep and different kinds of mortar and grout.

OK, you really need to come to my house now, Dave. LOL Your new flooring looks great! You needed the break from work, but I'm glad you're back to work now, though. BIG hugs!
