Poor Customer Service at Current, Inc. (long)

I'm so frustrated with Current, inc at the moment. I was really mad and I have to remind myself that they are just not worth it.

Here is my story. A couple of weeks ago I order a stamp. One that said handmade by, my name and bottom line was to say especially for you. I received it a few days later to have it say on the first line my name, second line handmade by and third line said especially for you. Notice how it doesn't make sense? They send a return form with each of the stamps and it says if it is incorrect, please fill out the form and send it to us, we want you to be 100% happy. So, I put it in the mail and drew them a pictures so they don't get it wrong the second time. They called me today and left a message. The message was said in a nice way but you could tell she was saying in some many words that "you screwed up and since it is all your fault we will not replace it at no charge. If you want another one, you will need to pay for it AGAIN". I was so mad at the message that I immediately pulled the stamp and looked to see how I could have messed it up. Well, come to find out, this oval stamp I ordered is a little different from a normal address stamp in how you order it. Line number 1 is actually in the middle of the two other lines. So, I saw that as line 2 when it should have been line 1. So, I call customer service back and explain to the guy what had happened. He told me I had put it on the incorrect line. I asked "how I was suppose to know that as a customer since it is not stated in the catalog or on the Internet?" He agree with me and said let me talk with a supervisor. He comes back a few moments later to say "We will do it for you this one time, but it's not really our fault". I was so angered by that comment. I was not nice to the poor guy on the phone and then I apologized and said "did you supervisor tell you to tell me that?" He said yes, she did. I then said "I want to speak to that supervisor. She gets on the phone and continues to try and defended her position that this is indeed my fault. She said "let me pull it up on the computer where it tells you how to order it". I waited for a while, you could tell she wasn't able to find it and then the line went dead. Yes, she hung up on me!

So, I guess my long story is to worn anyone who wants something from current, make sure you never want to send it back because their customer service is the poorest I have EVER had to deal with.

Thanks for listening. Myra in Tx

I'm really surprised at the problems you had with them. I've ordered from them many times over the past few years, including checks, and I've never had a single problem with them. Must have been a bad day for them.

Selena, have you ever had to return any thing to them? I have order product and as long as I'm OK with it things are fine. It's the returns they don't like.

I'm sorry to hear that you had a hard time w/ them Myra. I've only had good experiences when ordering out of their Times to Cherish catalog. I've never had to return anything though. My order was short once though. I called to let thm know and the cs rep told me they'd get it shipped and asked if I wanted to order anything else to add to that box since I wouldn't be paying any shipping on it. I had just received a Current clearance catalog, so I added a few items to my order. They were very prompt in getting it all out also. Anyway, that's my story.

Thanks Katrina, I guess I just need to stop order personalized things from them. This is the second time something like this has happened and it's just so frustrating. I do a lot of Internet shopping, addicted scrapbooker......do I need to say more? Internet shopping is also much easier when you have a 5 year old saying "mommy, I want this, I want that and can I have this too?!" I don't have to deal with that when I'm on the computer. I have never run across such poor service. Just like the saying goes "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me". Guess I need to live by that!
