Great Customer Service

The Fat Quarter Shop is the best!

They got my order here in record time. I didn't recognize the yard goods that came and when I checked online, I realize the picture for the sample didn't match the description.

I emailed them last night and got a reply this morning. They are hurrying to fix the mix-up and will be sending me the correct fabric and I should keep and use the other fabric.

Too nice!

Howdy!

Same subject, different shop: Keepsake Quilting "done right by me!" I placed an order last Saturday, doing my bit for National Quilting Day, of course, I'm civic-minded like that. The order arrived yesterday, Thursday, with everything I ordered + an extra fat quarter for ordering on NQD. There was also a pamphlet for the local sights to see in that area, and a very nice note. AND they gave me free postage because of an order from last year that they couldn't completely fill: they contacted me to let me know "that fabric is all gone" and surprised me w/ a "free postage" coupon. Didn't have to do that coupon but they did. I'm happy. Today I'm washing that fabric, including the 100 fq for $99.99. Couldn't resist it!

Opening these pkgs of fq is like opening a bag of jewels;all kinds of prints & colors and shades & patterns & critters &combinations, many fabrics I wouldn't have chosen, but I'mglad they did. Top quality, name-brand fabrics, recent issue. One of the nice things is all the light prints &light backgrounds that are included. I love it! I'm going to place all the new fat quarters, neatly folded, into a basket & set it out as decoration instead of Easter eggs. It's that pretty. ;-D Cheers!

so you are hapy with the "buying blind" results? $1 per FQ is a great deal... if the variety is good... fabric is good quality... and prints are usable!

I might have to bite too!

What fun, Sandy. I have a sewing room basket too. It's big enough to cuddle a baby buffalo and I use it to enjoy beautiful fabric. Naturally, right now it's displaying purple. How we would have loved to be there when you opened your hundred fq's. Since we can't be there in person, tell us about them. Is there a paisley? a floral? what about bubbles and dots? Polly

Yeah, I like the "grab bag" feel of it. And I love scrap quilts, so this is a good deal. As I don't often buy purples and mauves & baby prints, this gives me just enough to seed the stash.

Ya' know, you could go halves w/ a quilting buddy, too.

I received great service from 5 stores this week. I almost never see a pattern and want to make one just like it, same fabric and all. That changed last Sat. night when I saw Michael Miller's Snow Chateau. That has my name all over it-I LOVE it! So I started a web search for some of the fabrics-hard to believe, but I don't have most of them. I ordered from the following late Sat.night:

The Door Mouse-arrived Monday afternoon Honeyfork Fabrics and Back Door Quilts-arrived Tues. Tennessee Fabrics-arrived Wed. Tattered Rabbit-arrived Friday

Not bad for all this in less than a week. All sent confirmation letters and shipping notices. I'll certainly do business with all these again. Gen

Oh! I saw that too! I love it and hope that it is still around in a bit when I recover from a couple of shopping sprees that I treated myself to recently. Maybe I shouldn't wait...

Isn't that fun?? I just put away my order today (have had it for a few weeks and just kept looking at it). It is like Christmas when you open it up. You never know what you are going to get, but it is all good :-)

I've had those FQs before and thought they were a great deal! Even the ones that don't really fit my normal style (if I have a normal style) are just the right size to make ditty bags for the kids at the women's shelter. And it's great to be challenged with colors you don't normally use. I love getting other people's scraps for the same reason! Roberta in D, Queen of the Scrap Heap
