More Great Customer Service

Mar 02, 2006 3 Replies

This time from Kreinik.

I ordered four spools of various sizes of Kreinik braid from a well-known online source. When they arrived, there was one spool that was obviously a different shade. Either shade would have worked, but all the sizes needed to be the same color. (My fault, as I'd not specified.)

I contacted Kreinik, just to see if there'd been a dye lot change or if a spool had been misbraided or mismarked. I got a response by 9am the next business day from a real person (to the effect that she would look into it); and an actual substantive response by 4pm, saying that there had been a dyelot change, and asking for a mailing address so they could send me all four spools from the same dyelot.

It was shipped First Class.

And have you looked at the free designs on the Kreinik web site?

I've been scouring the web for free cross stitch designs to hook the kids I'm teaching. And they have some of the best - not the easiest mind you - but there are some really great ones, including a couple of Dragon Dreams which my daughter now loves doing. I haven't checked more than the cross stitch category but I'm sure there are fun things in all the categories.Margaret

Kreinik sent me a full bottle (2 I think for that size) of needles to replace the *one* needle that had managed to get through their quality control without a point on it (tapestry needle, so wasn't *that* visibly obvious... but it was when you tried to stitch with it:-)
