Well, my girls arrived eager for class today and most of them are doing quite well. One even had stitched both her initials and done a background over the week. Today we talked a bit about patterns and colors and some did a simple set of checkerboards. If I can, I'll hit the craft shops for cheap, small hoops and dig out the scrap aida.
One girl isn't quite getting it. She just can't seem to make a single short (4 or 5) row of half crosses with out messing up somehow - losing her needle, brining it around the plastic canvas, knots, you name it, she manages to do it. I have not run out of patience, but I am running out of ideas on how to help her. I did ask if she wants to keep trying - it is obvious she is getting frustrated too.
