question about photographing LO's

Hi everyone. I have 11 LO's completed!! And now I want to take pictures of them so I can show them off!! I know a lot of you photograph your LO's and I was wondering how you go about it - ie. do you lay them on the floor to take pics? Any pointers would be much appreciated.

Thanks Debbie on the Rock

I scan mine, personally, but I know if you take a picture of yours, make sure it's not in a page protector. The glare from the flash of the camera ruins the shot. I would think laying them on a table and standing on a chair and taking the shot straight down would be the easiest.

Thanks Cleo. I knew the page protectors would cause a glare. The kitchen table idea sounds better than the floor, especially since I have 2 cats and

2 dogs roaming around! I could scan them but my scanner doesn't do 12x12 and I'd have to 'stitch' the pics together in Photoshop. If I can't get good pics, I might have to try that tho.

I've found digitally photographing my LO's to be the easiest. Like you said on my scanner I have to stitch things even though I have a great program that stitches easily. The scanner almost makes them too bright. The camera I can keep taking a picture until I like it. Then I upload it to my webshots account.

If you have a digital camera, it might have come with a stitching program. I've used it for some of my layouts and it usually works pretty good. I'm really lousy with photoshop and my stitched pictures look awful. LOL

Thanks Lynn. That's another thing I need to do - sign up for Webshots!
