Uploaded 4 LO's

Hi folks,

I have just uploaded 4 LO's to my wedding album....pictures 4 through 7 are the latest ones. I made them all yesterday! Some have the weird scan line which I can't get rid off...don't know why...sigh! But you will get the idea anyway and I am really pleased with them IRL....so that is what matters! I just need to find a couple more pictures that I can use in this album.....and a page of journalling will complete it. Not bad since we will be married 37 years on Feb 1st :o)

Oh...you will see that there is a distinct pink theme going on...well that is because my wedding dress was pink and very 1960's...LOL I took some photos of the dress yesterday as all my wedding photos are black & white!

Marilyn, Your album is wonderful. After I looked at 4-7 I had to go back to the beginning and look at the entire album together. I like the idea of the close-up of the dress detail. Lasting memories........Did you get married in a church? I added a picture of the church taken about the same time frame as my great-grandparents wedding to the LO I did for their wedding. The old frame church was torn down and a newer brick church build right after they were married. Then when I did the photos of their 50th wedding anniversary in the brick church I added pictures of the church from that era. My DD was married in the same church lst year and I took pictures of the church as it is now to add to her wedding album. (which is on the list to complete for 2006) Sandy

Sandy,

Thank you for your comments and helpful suggestions :o) The photograph of the church is on my to-do-list, as it is still there....unchanged would you believe....but I am still going to come up 2 LO's short of a full album I think!

I have just gone through the photos I have again and found one at the top of the church steps with the minister....so I will use that + the church + my journalling page! That will need to do unless I can think of something else LOL

In the late sixties people still didn't do the whole big wedding production.....like you see now :o) Most people from a working class background just didn't have the money to commit thousands of pounds for a wedding and find somewhere decent to live. We went for the smaller family wedding and bought our little flat to live in.....as we felt that was most important!

May I suggest that one of the two (perhaps the last one) might be of you and your DH kissing in front of the door of your flat, with the title "And They Lived Happily Ever After."

Your album is really wonderful.

All very nice. I like that you took a color picture of your dress. Will you do a page about it in color?

Welcome Raz and thanks for the suggestion :o) Only one problem.....the marriage was in 1969 and the flat in question was demolished to make room for new development in the mid-70's...so no pics I am afraid and no chance of getting any. I like the "And They Happily Ever After" idea and since we are on the brink of 37th wedding anniversary....it is very apt. Must see if I can work that in at the end :o)

There is a page of the dress Lynne LOL

That was why I took the photos yesterday...so I could do a page in colour :o)

I love your album Marilyn. I like the letters that you used for the titles and all of your embellishments are perfect. The colors you chose really go well with the pictures too.

Do you have a copy of the wedding invitation? You could include that if you do.

Great idea Cathy but I don't have a wedding invitation :o( If I get a photo of the church and do a page of journalling I will only have one page left to fill.....right at the back. I am sure that I will find something to put there LOL

Hi Marilyn Marilyn wrote:!You really put a lot of work into creating that lovely album! It is SO pretty! I like that you put the lyrics to the song on a page! It really brings the 'era' of the album together! Do you still have any cards or newspaper clippings you could use to fill up the last couple of pages? Or maybe a handwritten journaling section of your special memories of the event? I'm sure it wont be hard to fill up! You did a really nice job!! When my son graduated 8th grade, they had this class song, and he hated it with a passion, because they played it at every class assembly, or award ceremony. but it WAS their song, so I found the lyrics to it and put it on his graduation page..LOL He will always remember it, (whether he likes it or not) :-)

Well I've never been a blonde so I'm afraid I'm going to have to claim scrapbook frenzy moment. haha I don't know I was surfing around enjoying your wedding LO's and who knows maybe a double click in the wrong place and totally skipped over it. Thanks for the link directly to it. It really is a special page for your album.

Hahahaha...I could have been a little cheeky and said 'senior' moments Lynne :o) I know what you mean about double-clicking and off you go into cyberspace ROFL. Webshots also drives me mad with the ads and scripts that run on it. Often I'll be looking at someone's pages and click to go to next page or full view and the PC crashes .....makes me so mad!

Glad you liked the album and your comments are much appreciated :o) Still racking my brain to fill the last page! I showed the album to DH earlier and he has been in an extremely nice mood....all smiley and full of fun! Guess he likes what I have done with the album even if butch builders don't show much emotion!!!

Thanks for your comments Linda...really appreciate them :o) I can't believe that I have almost completed one album! The page facing the song lyrics LO will contain a full page of journalling...don't know about the handwritten part though....scary scribbles... LOL Not one of my better skills these days!! I will sleep on the rest for now as I often get that 'a-ha' moment in the middle of the night anyway!

Oh....just had a thought......maybe DH would like to do a page of journalling for the album. What do you think of that idea? It was his wedding too, so he might be willing to write or dictate something about our wedding day.

Take care, Marilyn

Funny I thought senior moment too, but my mom just officially became a senior so I'm not there yet. She said she now qualifies for Senior Discounts. Then she asked what else did she qualify for and my brother and I said she qualified for new adjectives like "spry", "sprightly" and "cute" and she threw a pillow at us. hahaha
