80s wrap pants/trousers

ok, i think they were popular in the 80s anyway... i'm looking for instructions on making the stupid things. they have one seam (the crotch) & tie at the waist (and ankles, if one is so inclined). i used to know how to make them, but can't find it in my mental file system anymore. all i can remember is they look ok in heavy gauze & have the one seam. i used to make them for cheerfully inauthentic Rennaisance faire outfits. i *think* there were instructions on the web somewhere, but it was a bookmark i lost several computers ago, probably last seen in the early 90s... if anyone has a clue what i'm looking for & can kick me in that direction, i'd be ever so grateful! :) lee
