First lady's choices

I have no idea, but compare it with the potential cost of having to inaugurate a new President if a sniper were to get him, as happened to John F. Kennedy (and Abraham Lincoln etc. etc.)

True. But then when you think about a bespoke suit.....that can run $6,000+. So I guess it's gotta be in the same range. But they gotta be a booger to alter. lol

What I heard n TV was that his suit was by Hart, Schaffner & Marx, and that he was wearing some bullet-resistant garment underneath it.

Oh good!!! I was sitting here trying to figure what kind of needle you'd have to use on a kevlar suit. I mean if it will slow down something that's moving 1000 ft/second, and my sewing machine goes somewhat slower than that.......... ;)

Your needle slips between the Kevlar threads; the bullet tries to go through them.

The first bullet-resistant vests were made of silk.
